Removing
Loosen and remove the brake fluid reservoir cap.
Fill the reservoir with fresh brake fluid to the top.
Screw in the cover and close the ventilation hole with adhesive tape. This is necessary to ensure that brake fluid does not spill during the work.
Remove brake drum.
Remove the top return spring.
Slightly loosen the brake pads.
Clean the brake hose connection. Loosen the union nut of the hose fastening without unscrewing it completely.
Loosen the brake cylinder bolt.
Installation
Put a rag under the brake shield.
Loosen the nut securing the brake hose, disconnect it and immediately connect it to a new brake cylinder. This will leak some brake fluid.
Screw in and tighten the brake cylinder bolt to 10 Nm.
Tighten union nut for brake hose to 16 Nm.
Install the brake pads against the pistons of the brake cylinder.
Install the brake drum.
Remove adhesive tape from brake fluid reservoir vent.
Remove air from the brake system.
Lower the car.
