- Three-point seat belts.
- Front seat belt pretensioners.
- Driver and front passenger airbags.
In the event of an accident, three levels of protection are activated in turn:
- The seat belt locking device prevents it from being pulled out further and keeps the passenger in the seat.
- The front seat belt buckles instantly move downwards, tightening the seat belts further to keep the passenger securely in the seat.
- In severe frontal collisions, the driver and front passenger airbags are deployed.
The airbag system is not a replacement for seat belts, but is part of the overall concept of passive safety of the vehicle, so seat belts must always be properly fastened.
