Checking the oil level
Before each long trip or every 500 km, check the oil level in the crankcase with an oil dipstick located on the left side of the engine, placing the car on a flat horizontal platform. After stopping the engine, let the oil drain into the crankcase for a few minutes.
Changing the oil and oil filter
Replacement frequency: every 15,000 km. When installing the filter, clean the mating surface of the crankcase from dust and lubricate the filter gasket with engine oil. Screw on a new filter element, start the engine and warm it up to operating temperature, then re-tighten the filter and make sure there is no oil leakage.
Note. Under unfavorable vehicle operating conditions, the intervals for changing the oil and oil filter are reduced.
Oil pressure warning lamp
If the oil pressure in the engine lubrication system is insufficient, a red warning lamp lights up on the instrument panel. In this case, check the oil level in the crankcase as described above and top up if necessary. In addition, you should contact a car repair shop as soon as possible.
