Multifunctional display


The multifunctional display shows the time, frequency of the received radio station, date, ambient temperature, and information about defects (Check control) and on-board computer data.

The multifunction display works after the ignition is turned on. The display continuously shows the time and ambient temperature. After turning off the car radio, the date is displayed on the display.

When displaying information about defects on the display (Checkcontrol) has priority.

When the headlights are turned on, the indicator backlight can be adjusted using the knob adjustments to the instrument panel lighting.

After the ignition is switched off, the time, date and ambient temperature can be displayed on the display for 15 seconds by briefly pressing one of the two buttons located next to the display.

Turn off the car radio.

Press the buttons and , located on the side of the display as follows:

Selecting the adjustment mode:
  • : Press and hold for more than 2s. Day flashes.
  • : setting the day.
  • : blinking moon.
  • : set the month.
  • : year blinking.
  • : set the year.
  • : blinking clock.
  • : setting the clock.
  • : minutes blinking.
  • : set minutes.
  • : The clock starts counting time at 0 seconds.

If you only need to adjust the hours, press several times until the hours/minutes start blinking.

Automatic time setting



Automatic time setting is only possible if there is a radio station transmitting an RDS signal.

Automatic tuning is performed after the car radio is switched on and RDS radio time signals are received. The time setting is indicated by the symbol on the display. If there are no signals to set the time, set the time manually.

Deactivating and activating the automatic time setting function (for example, in the case of receiving inaccurate radio time signals from a transmitting station):

Click on the button and hold it down for more than 2 seconds, the time indication will be displayed in the setting mode.

Double click the button (before the year blinks).

Click on the button and hold it down for more than 3 seconds until it starts flashing and "RDS TIME" will be displayed (at this time the year indicator flashes).

Click on the button and select:

RDS TIME 0 - off



RDS TIME 1 - on

Press the button three times .

Ambient temperature



Ambient temperature


A decrease in temperature will be displayed immediately, while an increase in temperature will be displayed with a delay.

To warn the driver about the appearance of ice when the temperature drops below minus 3°C, the display will show the symbol .




Fault indication

F indicates that there are faults.

The selected function is faulty, so please contact your Opel dealer to correct the fault.

After power off



If the power is disconnected or the voltage in the vehicle's on-board network decreases, after connecting or charging the battery, it is necessary to set the date and time.

When the power is disconnected and reconnected, the fault warning system automatically monitors all functions. Messages about faults stored in the memory are displayed one by one on the display.

Indication of defects (Check control)



The fault warning system monitors the level of various operating fluids, the condition of the front brakes, the operation of the automatic transmission and the main exterior lighting lamps, including the condition of the wires and fuses.

Once the ignition is turned on, the fault warning system automatically monitors all functions.

Checking (Checking)

Fault messages are displayed on the display in the order they are recorded in memory. Some error messages are shown in abbreviated form.

Controler (Check)

Niveau d'huile (Oil level)

The engine oil level is too low. Check the oil level immediately and top up if necessary. Contact your Opel dealer to correct the defect.

Temperature (Temperature)

Liquide de refroidissement (Coolant)

Coolant temperature too high. Check the coolant level, turn off the engine and wait until it cools down.

Niveau (Level)

Liquide de refroidissement (Coolant)

The coolant level in the expansion tank is too low. Top up the fluid and contact your Opel dealer to correct the defect.

Transmission (Transmission)

Automatique (Automatic)

The gears do not shift automatically. Shift gears manually and contact your Opel dealer to correct the defect.

Garniture de Freins (Brake pads)

The front disc brake pads are on the verge of wear. To replace the brake pads, contact your Opel dealer.

Fusible (Fuse)

Feux Stop(Stop signal)

The fuse protecting the brake light electrical circuit has blown. Fix the problem and replace the fuse.

Feux (Lamp)

Stop (Stop signal)

The brake light bulb burned out.

Feux Code (Lamp)

Feux AR (Headlight or rear light bulb)

The headlight or rear light bulb has burned out.

Niv. Liquid (Windscreen washer fluid)

Level

The fluid level in the windshield washer reservoir is too low. Add liquid.

When a defect is indicated, the on-board computer data will not be displayed on the multifunction display. To display the defect, press the S or R button located on the windshield wiper control lever. If there are several defects, they can be removed one by one.



Once the defect has been detected, it is erased from the display, and the information from the on-board computer becomes available.
