Engine Generator 6VD1-W (Opel Frontera B)

Removal

Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal.

Remove the lower engine compartment protection.

Loosen and remove the accessory drive belt (see the relevant chapter).

Disconnect 2 connectors from the generator.

Remove 2 bolts and remove the generator from the bottom of the engine compartment.

Installation

Install the generator and secure it to the bracket with 2 bolts, tightening the M10 bolt to 41 Nm and the M8 bolt to 21 Nm.

Connect the 2 connectors to the generator.

Install the accessory drive belt (see the relevant chapter)

Install the lower engine compartment protection.

Connect the cable to the negative terminal of the battery.
