Removal and installation front wheel drive shafts (Opel Frontera A)

1. Remove the shaft.

2. Remove the four bolts securing the front axle bracket.

3. Remove the drive unit from the bridge.

4. Collect the leaking liquid in a container provided.



5. Remove the retaining ring and bearing shown in the illustration from the shaft housing.

6. Now remove the retaining ring that has become visible.

7. Remove the oil seal and front axle mounting bracket.

8. When reassembling, install the holder, new seal and new retaining ring.

9. Install a new bearing.

10. Secure it with a new snap ring.

11. Install the drive shaft onto the vehicle.

13. After installation, check the differential oil level. The oil should reach the bottom edge of the filler hole. Add oil if necessary.
