Front Wheel Drive Seals — Replacement (Opel Zafira A)

The necessity of performing this operation should be determined during the inspection of the technical condition of the gearbox (see "Manual gearbox - technical condition check").

Sequence of execution

1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").

2. Remove the front wheel drive (see "Front Wheel Drive - Removal and Installation").

3. Using a large slotted screwdriver or mounting blade, pry the oil seal out of the gearbox housing.



4. Lubricate the working edge of the new seal with transmission oil and press it in using a 50 mm diameter mandrel.

Recommendation: You can use the old front wheel drive seal as a mandrel.

5. Install the remaining parts in reverse order.
