Replacing the DIS ignition module
The block is located on the back of the engine near the front wall and can be found by the four ignition cables attached to it.
When removing the ignition unit, the ignition system must be switched off.
1. Turn away bolts and remove a cover of cables of ignition in the center of a head of cylinders.
2. Disconnect the plug connection at the ignition module (rear left) and pull out the cable.
3. Loosen the four screws (illustrations), that secure the ignition module to the adapter.
4. Pay attention to how the ignition module is installed and remove it up.
5. The ignition module is installed in the reverse order of its removal. Tighten the bolts securing the block to the adapter with a torque of 8 Nm. Pay attention to the way the ignition cables are connected (as shown in illustration.). The cables are numbered according to which they must be connected to the ignition module.
Replacing the crankshaft TDC sensor
Replacing the pulse sensor presents certain difficulties for a person who does not have the necessary experience, since it is necessary to remove the mounting brackets for the injection valves and the rod electromagnet. Therefore, it is recommended that the sensor be replaced by a workshop. The sensor is removed only when it is replaced.
Replacing the knock sensor
As well as when replacing the crankshaft TDC sensor, this work presents certain difficulties. If you think that there are malfunctions in the ignition system due to a malfunctioning knock sensor, you should contact a car workshop.
