Tailgate (5-door models) (Opel Frontera A)

1. To unlock or lock the vertically hinged tailgate, turn the key in the tailgate lock or use the remote control for the central lock actuators (if such is provided).



2. To open the tailgate, press the button, lift the glass, then lift the door handle.

Attention! When the tailgate is fully opened, the rear light of the car may be covered by the spare wheel - in the dark, before opening the tailgate beyond the first stationary position, make sure that the car is clearly visible from the roadway.

3. The tailgate is fixed in the fully open position by a special stop - to close the door, first push it in the opposite direction, then unlock the stop by pulling it towards you.

4. To close the rear window, use the central handle. Lock the tailgate only after making sure the rear window is completely closed.

Attention! To prevent exhaust gases from entering the vehicle interior, the tailgate and its glass must be tightly closed while driving. If the last condition is not met for any reason, close all other windows and switch the interior ventilation system to the outside air supply mode by moving the air intake control lever on the control panel (right top) to position (2), and the heater fan control handle (lower right) to position 3 or 4 (see below).
