Level control system (manual) — setup (Opel Ascona C)

1. Most machines are equipped with a manually adjustable system. The compressed air line is used to increase the system pressure through a valve in the load area. The procedure is as follows.

2. Then, when the machine is not loaded, use a tire pressure gauge to measure the system pressure at the level control valve and check that it is 0.8 bar (12 lbf/ in²): Make adjustments if necessary. Measure the distance between the center of the rear bumper and the ground when the car is parked on a level surface.

3. Load the machine and increase the pressure in the system to restore the previously obtained height. Do not exceed pressure of 5.0 bar (73 lbf/in²).

4. After unloading the machine, release the system pressure to adjust the height, maintaining a minimum pressure of 0.8 bar (12 lbf / in²). Do not drive an unloaded vehicle if the system pressure is at maximum.

5. If necessary, check the relative position of the rear wheels, this should be done with the pressure in the level control system being 1.0 bar (15 lbf / in²).
