Operating principle
When the ignition is switched on, the control lamps light up for about 4 s, showing the serviceability of the control lamps, after which only the control lamp of the stop lamps remains on. To turn it off, press the brake pedal.
The lamps for monitoring the malfunction of the dipped beam lamps of the headlights and the side light in the rear lamps show their malfunction only when the circuit of the corresponding lamps is turned on.
If the oil level in the engine is insufficient, the corresponding control lamp continues to burn 4 seconds after the ignition is turned on until the engine is started. In this case, the car must be on a horizontal platform. The correct readings of the control lamp are provided not less than 4 minutes after the engine is stopped.
The control lamp of level of a brake liquid lights up at its insufficient level.
The brake pad wear indicator lamp lights up when braking if the thickness of the friction linings has reached the minimum allowable value.
The control lamp of liquid level in a reservoir of a washer of a windshield lights up at its insufficient level.
