IN automatic control mode, do the following.
1. Regulator 3 (pic. 1) set the desired temperature of the air entering the passenger compartment to the driver's seat, using a similar regulator 7 - to the front passenger seat.
Pic. 1. Automatic control unit for the dual-zone climate control system: 1 - air conditioner switch; 2, 8 - switches for electric heating of the front seats; 3 - temperature regulator of the air entering the passenger compartment to the driver's seat; 4 - switch for automatic control of the heating, ventilation and air conditioning system; 5 - buttons for the air flow distribution regulator; 6, 11 - buttons of the switch of operating modes of the electric fan of the air blower; 7 - temperature controller of the air entering the cabin to the passenger seat; 9 - switch for intensive air supply to the windshield and glass of the front doors; 10 - switch for electric heating of the rear window and exterior rear-view mirrors; 11 - switch of the heating, ventilation and air conditioning system; 12 - recirculation mode switch; 13 – the switch of an electric heating of a steering wheel
Display 10 (see Dashboard, pic. 1) the selected temperature will appear.
Note. When the regulator knob is set to the leftmost position, the maximum cooling mode is activated.
The message appears on the display instead of the set temperature value «LO».
When the regulator is set to the extreme right position, the maximum heating mode is activated. The display shows «HI».
2. Press the key «AUTO» switch 4 (see fig. 1) mode of automatic control of the heating, ventilation and air conditioning system.
The display will show «AUTO», temperature values of the air supplied to the passenger compartment, pictograms of the intensity of the operation of the electric fan of the air blower, supply and distribution of air flows. There is an automatic control of the modes of air supply through the nozzles in the instrument panel, in the lower part of the cabin and on the windshield (or through the nozzles in the instrument panel and into the lower part of the cabin), as well as the speed of the blower fan and air conditioning compressor.
In automatic mode The operation of climate control is regulated by sensors for the intensity of solar radiation and air temperature in the cabin.
Sunlight sensor and interior air temperature sensor (shown in the photo with an arrow) combined into a common housing located on the top of the instrument panel near the windshield glass. Depending on the degree of illumination of the passenger compartment by the sun's rays, the air flows, according to the signals of the sensor, are directed respectively to the area of \u200b\u200bthe face or legs of the driver and front passenger. This ensures the most efficient mode of operation of the climate control system and a more comfortable distribution of air flows in the cabin.
To exclude incorrect temperature readings due to the influence of heated panel elements, the temperature sensor is equipped with a forced airflow system, which ensures uniform air flow from the front of the vehicle through the sensor housing. For normal air movement, keep the inlet of the integral sensor housing free of any solid particles or liquids. This is especially true in cases of dry cleaning of the interior. When cleaning the interior with a vacuum cleaner, it is strictly forbidden to bring the suction tip of the vacuum cleaner pipe to the inlet of the housing. If the movement of air through the sensor hole is difficult, the normal functioning of the automatic climate control system is disrupted.
Notes:
- For proper operation of the climate control system, do not cover these sensors with foreign objects and keep the central and side nozzles of the ventilation and heating system open.
- At low outside temperatures, if the climate control system is in AUTO mode, the air flow will be directed to the windshield and side windows until the engine reaches operating temperature.
- In order to prevent the windows from misting up in rainy weather, turn on the blowing mode when the heater is off, since the difference in the temperature of the glass surface and the air supplied can cause moisture condensation.
3. To turn off the air conditioner, press the button again «AUTO» switch 4.
In manual mode The HVAC system operates sequentially according to the order in which the switches and controls are selected. The functions of knobs and switches that are not used are controlled automatically.
1. Using the keys 6 and 11 of the mode switch of the electric fan of the air blower, change the speed of rotation of the electric fan. By pressing the key 6 the speed of rotation gradually increases, by pressing the key 11 it decreases.
The display shows the speed of work in numbers - from the minimum value...
...to the maximum.
2. By pressing and holding the switch key 11 for several seconds, the air blower electric fan is turned off.
The corresponding message appears on the display.
3. To cool the air entering the car interior, press the air conditioner switch button 1 - the control lamp will light up in it.
The display will then show «A/C on» and a snowflake icon.
Note. The air conditioner will not turn on if the blower fan operation mode switch button 11 is turned off or the ambient temperature is below 0°C. This is not a sign of a malfunction, but is provided for by the design.
Attention! Turning on the air conditioner while the engine is running in difficult conditions (long climbs, heavy city traffic, etc.) may cause the engine to overheat. Watch the readings of the coolant temperature gauge: if the temperature exceeds the permissible value, turn off the air conditioner.
During long trips in city traffic, the efficiency of the air conditioner may be reduced due to the intense thermal conditions of the engine. This is not a malfunction, the air conditioner will work efficiently under normal driving conditions.
To turn off the air conditioner, press the button again, the control lamp will go out, and the display will show the inscription «Air conditioning off» and a pictogram depicting a crossed-out snowflake.
4. By sequentially pressing the keys of the regulator 5 of the distribution of air flows, select the options for the direction of the air flows.
The icon for the selected feed direction will appear on the display.
Combined options for supplying air flows by simultaneously pressing two keys are also possible...
...and the corresponding combination icons appear on the display.
5. The recirculation mode switch 12 is used to select the outside air supply or recirculation modes. When the switch is pressed once, the recirculation mode is activated, no outside air enters the passenger compartment, and the air blower fan circulates the air inside the passenger compartment. At the same time, the lower control lamp in the switch key lights up.
Note. At high temperatures outside and inside, AUTO mode automatically turns on recirculation to quickly cool the passenger compartment.
The corresponding icon will appear on the display.
When the key is pressed again, the automatic recirculation mode is activated with the determination of air quality using a special sensor. At the same time, the upper control lamp in the switch key lights up.
The corresponding icon will appear on the display.
This mode is used to quickly warm up the cabin in the cold season, as well as with increased dust and gas contamination of the surrounding air. When the button is pressed a third time, the recirculation mode is switched off and the control lamp goes out.
The corresponding icon will appear on the display.
Attention! It is not recommended to turn on the recirculation mode for a long time while the car is moving, as this usually leads to fogging of the windows.
6. To quickly remove moisture or frost from the windshield and windows of the front doors at high air humidity, press the switch key 9 for intensive air supply to the windscreen and windows of the front doors.
The corresponding icon will appear on the display.
If the outdoor temperature is higher than 2°C, the air conditioner automatically starts to cool it.
7. When the switch key 10 is pressed with the engine running, the electric heating of the glass of the tailgate and exterior mirrors is switched on, at the same time the control lamp in the key lights up.
When the button is pressed again, the heating is turned off - the control lamp goes out. If you do not turn off the electric heating manually, after a while it will automatically turn off.
Attention! The heating element consumes a very large current. To avoid excessive battery discharge, turn on the heater when the engine is running and only for the time necessary to clear the tailgate glass from fogging.
In order not to damage the heater filaments, do not use scrapers or other sharp objects, as well as detergents with abrasive substances to clean the inside of the glass.
8. When you press the keys of switches 2 or 8, the electric heating of the seats, respectively, of the driver or passenger in the front seat, is turned on. At the same time, the lower control lamp in the button lights up. With two subsequent presses, the intensity of heating increases stepwise and the middle and upper control lamps in the button turn on alternately. When pressed again, the electric heating is turned off and the control lamps in the button go out.
Attention! The heating element consumes a very large current. To avoid over discharging the battery, turn on the heater when the engine is running and only for the time needed to warm up the seats.
People with sensitive skin are not recommended to use the maximum heating mode.
9. Pressing the switch key 13 turns on the electrical heating of the steering wheel. At the same time, the control lamp in the key lights up. When pressed again, the electric heating is turned off and the control lamp in the button goes out.
