- InSP: Display of the distance remaining until the next service;
- lnSP2: Failure of outdoor lamps (see chapter 12);
- lnSP3: Single lock remote control battery low (see Section 8);
- lnSP4: Water in diesel fuel filter - drain water (see chapter 1) or contact a service station for assistance.
Note: On models equipped with a control system, instead of the inscriptions lnSP2 and lnSP3 on the information display (see below) an appropriate message is issued.
- ESP off: Anti-skid system disabled (see Section 25);
- ESP on: The anti-skid system is activated.
Display indicating the selected transmission mode
On models equipped with AT/Easytronic (see Sections 23 and 24), transmission mode indication display (see illustration 16.4) mounted in the center of the instrument cluster. When the selector lever is switched to the appropriate position, the selected transmission mode is displayed on the left side of the display:
- P Parking
- R Reverse
- N Neutral gear
- A Automatic mode (Easytronic)
- M Manual mode (Easytronic)
- D Auto Mode (AT).
- 1-4 Currently engaged gear (AT).
- 1-5 Manual mode, currently engaged gear (Easytronic).
Note: On models equipped with the Easytronic system, the mode indication flashes for a few seconds if the selector lever is switched to position A, M or R with the engine running and the brake pedal not depressed.
When activating special transmission control modes (see Section 25) the corresponding indicators are displayed on the right side of the display field:
- Winter mode
- Sports mode
Fuel gauge
The dial of the gauge of a stock of fuel is built in the top central part of a combination of devices (see illustration 16.1) and serves for visual monitoring of the amount of fuel remaining in the tank.
The device shows the approximate level of fuel in the tank. The error in readings of the fuel gauge is minimal when the car is in a strictly horizontal position. When driving on winding or hilly roads, the error of the instrument increases. When the ignition is turned off, the meter needle moves to the lower mark of the scale. Pilot lamp (see illustration 16.5) minimum fuel reserve C) turns on when there is a small amount of fuel left in the tank (the meter needle drops to the lower left sector of the scale), and warns about the beginning of the use of the fuel reserve. Activation of the warning lamp in flashing mode warns against a further decrease in the amount of fuel in the tank - fill the tank as soon as possible.
Attention: For petrol models, it is strictly forbidden to drive to an empty tank - this can lead to failure of the catalytic converter of exhaust gases (see Section 28)!
When running out of fuel on diesel models, it is necessary to remove air from the fuel system (see Chapter 1, Section 8).
