Automatic transmission operating mode indicator unit — replacement (Opel Zafira A)

A special unit is installed near the selector under its trim, showing the currently enabled automatic transmission mode. The enabled mode is indicated by means of LEDs that light up next to the corresponding symbols when different modes are enabled. In addition, when the ignition is turned on, the symbols themselves should be illuminated. The indicator unit is non-disassemblable, so in case of a malfunction it is replaced as a whole.

Sequence of execution



1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").

2. Remove the selector cover (see "Parking brake actuator lever - replacement").

3. Using a thin slotted screwdriver, bend back the plastic retainer on one...

4. Install the parts in reverse order.
