Activation of the indicator lamp in flashing mode with the engine running indicates a malfunction that may lead to failure of the catalytic converter. If you need to continue driving, reduce the fuel supply with the accelerator pedal until the indicator lamp stops flashing and lights up continuously - contact an Opel service station as soon as possible.
Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) Warning Lightbriefly activated when ignition is turned on (at this point, the ABS self-diagnostic system is activated, accompanied by a characteristic noise) and should go out after a few seconds. Failure of the lamp to turn off, as well as its activation during movement, indicates a malfunction of the ABS - the car should be driven to an Opel service station at the first opportunity for diagnostics and the necessary repairs.
Note: When the indicator lamp is on, the anti-lock brake system will not operate, but the brake system will continue to function normally.
Diesel Engine Pre-Glow Warning Light lights up only at low ambient temperatures when the ignition is turned on, indicates activation of the preheating system and goes out after the glow plugs have warmed up to the required temperature. The engine should not be started until the control lamp goes out.
Note: If the lamp does not go out for a long time, this may indicate a malfunction in the pre-heating system - contact an Opel service station.
On models with the corresponding configuration, activation of the indicator lamp in flashing mode indicates the need to clean the soot filter. The filter can be self-cleaned by accelerating the car to a speed of over 40 km/h and maintaining it for some time until the indicator lamp stops flashing.
Attention: Carry out this procedure only on road sections where the appropriate speed limit is permitted, in compliance with traffic safety requirements!
Tire Pressure Monitoring System (DDS) warning light. On models with the corresponding configuration, when the monitoring system is activated, the lamp will flash 3 times, confirming the activation and serviceability of the system. If the control lamp is constantly red, you must immediately pull off the road in a safe place and check the air pressure in the tires. Activation of the lamp in yellow warns the driver of a malfunction in the tire pressure monitoring system - contact an Opel service station as soon as possible.
For detailed information on pressure monitoring systems, please see Section 27.
On models with the corresponding configuration adaptive headlight system failure indicator light lights up continuously if there is a fault in the adaptive light system. If the adaptive system is disabled, each time the ignition is turned on the lamp is activated in flashing mode and goes out after about 4 seconds, reminding the driver that this system is disabled.
For more information on the adaptive headlight system, please see Section 17.
Tempostat-controlled motion indicator. This indicator (with appropriate equipment) is activated and remains lit for the entire time the temperature controller is activated.
