Camshaft gear
Removing
1. Remove the timing belt (see Removing and installing timing belt).
2. Block the camshaft from turning when the central bolt of its gear is released. Make from two pieces of steel plates (one long and one short) and three bolts with nuts fork device to hold the wheel. Use one bolt as an axial one, fasten the other two at the ends of the fork - they are engaged with the holes in the gear wheel. Alternatively, you can remove the timing cover (see Removal and installation of a cover of the gas-distributing mechanism) and hold the shaft with an open-end wrench by the flats.
3. Turn out the central bolt and remove it from a shaft together with a washer. Remove the gear. Check the tightness of the fit in the trunnion of the wheel locating pin - if necessary, remove the pin and put it in a safe place.
Installation
1. Before installation check up a condition of an epiploon of a camshaft. If there are signs of leakage or signs of wear, replace the seal (see Camshaft oil seal replacement).
2. Place the gear wheel on the shaft trunnion, - make sure that the fixing pin fits into the receiving hole on the wheel.
3. Screw in the central bolt with the washer put on it and tighten it with the required force, keeping the shaft from turning in one of the ways described above.
4. Install the timing belt (see Removing and installing timing belt), then (if filmed) install the timing cover (see Removal and installation of a cover of the gas-distributing mechanism).
Crankshaft gear
Removing
1. Remove the timing belt (see Removing and installing timing belt).
2. Remove the gear wheel from the crankshaft trunnion - try to remember which side the wheel was installed on.
3. Check the tightness of the fit in your keyway - if necessary, remove the key and put it in a safe place.
Installation
1. If removed, install the key in the groove in the crankshaft trunnion.
2. After making sure that the key fits into the keyway, seat the gear wheel on the shaft stub with the marks facing out.
3. Install the timing belt (see Removing and installing timing belt).
Belt tensioner
Removing
1. Remove the timing belt (see Removing and installing timing belt).
2. Remove the tensioner fixing bolt [3] and remove the tensioner from the oil pump assembly.
Installation
1. Install the tensioner on the engine - make sure that the protrusion on its base with a window in the oil pump housing is entered correctly. After making sure that the tensioner is properly seated, screw in the fixing bot and tighten it with the required force.
