2. Move the guide sleeve of the automatic parking brake drive adjuster back and secure it in this position. (see accompanying illustration).

3. Press down the transport lock lever (see accompanying illustration) and fix it, while the guide sleeve should remain in the pressed position.
13.3 Press and lock the lever (2) of the transport locking device in the lower position
4. Remove the exhaust system (see Chapter 4) and remove the heat shield from the bottom of the car (see accompanying illustration).

5. Remove the retaining ring, remove the connecting pin and disconnect the equalizer (see accompanying illustration) from the front section of the parking brake cable.

6. Press the latches and disconnect the connector (see accompanying illustration) wiring of the parking brake arming indicator light switch sensor.

7. Loosen the 4 nuts (see accompanying illustration) fastening the exhaust brake lever to the bottom of the car and remove the lever together with the boot.

8. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. When installing, make sure that the equalizer of the main section of the drive cable is not twisted. When the parking brake lever is pulled, the transport lock lever will return to its original position and the cable tension will be adjusted automatically.
