Removal and installation the parking brake lever (Opel Corsa C)

1. Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery (see Chapter 5).

2. Remove the rear passenger ashtray from the center console (see Chapter "Controls and operating techniques").

3. Engage the parking brake lever, separate the lever boot from the center console and screw it upward.

4. Disconnect the parking brake switch wiring connector (see illustration 15.4a), unscrew the mounting bolt and remove the switch (see illustration 15.4b).

5. Release the parking brake lever, loosen the adjusting nut (see accompanying illustration) and disconnect the front section of the parking brake cable from the lever.

6. Loosen the 4 nuts and remove the parking brake lever assembly.

7. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
