Removing
1. Remove the negative cable from the battery. Raise the front of the car and secure it on stands. Remove the right front wheel.
2. Remove the top casing of a gear belt.
3. Turn the engine with a wrench on the crankshaft pulley clockwise. Rotate the crankshaft until the mark on the crankshaft pulley aligns with the pointer on the oil pump base.
4. To determine if the first or fourth piston is at top dead center, check the position of the mounting holes in the fuel pump and camshaft pulleys. When the number one piston is at top dead center on the compression stroke, both pulley holes will line up with the screw holes in the cylinder head.
5. When installing the piston of the first cylinder at TDC, if necessary, you can fix the pulleys of the fuel pump or camshaft, for which screw in the M6 bolt (photo on the left) through the camshaft pulley into the cylinder head and the M8 bolt (photo on the right) through the fuel pump pulley into the cylinder block.
