
1. Remove the camshaft pulley.
2. Loosen the cylinder head rear timing belt cover mounting bolts and move the timing belt cover as far away from the head as possible. Remove the rear timing belt cover completely for best access to the camshaft oil seal ring.
3. Drill two small holes in the ends of the sealing ring. Screw in two self-tapping screws and use pliers to pull the sealing ring out of its socket by the screw heads.
4. Clean the O-ring seat and the sealing surface of the camshaft.
5. Lubricate the new O-ring with clean engine oil and use a pipe driver to install it in place.
6. Screw in the bolts securing the upper part of the rear timing belt cover to the cylinder head.
7. Install the camshaft pulley.
