Removal



1. Remove the ground cable from the battery.

2. Raise the front of the vehicle and support it on stands.

Installation



1. Clean all traces of dirt and oil from the mating surfaces of the oil pan and cylinder block.

2. Install a new O-ring onto the oil pickup pipe and install the oil pickup pipe onto the engine.

3. Check that the mating surfaces of the main oil pan and cylinder block are clean and dry and apply a thin layer of sealant to the top of the main oil pan.

4. Install the main oil pan assembly onto the cylinder block and secure with bolts. Tighten the bolts from the center in a diagonal sequence.

5. Install the flywheel guard plate.

6. Install the front exhaust pipe.

7. Check that the mating surfaces of the oil pan and lower oil pan are clean and dry. Apply a thin layer of sealant to the mating surface of the lower oil pan. Install the lower oil pan and secure with bolts.

8. Lower the vehicle and add engine oil to the engine.
