Contents: Removal ⬇ Installation ⬇

Removal

1. The rear camshaft oil seal can also be replaced without removing the engine from the vehicle, by removing only the camshaft.

2. Remove the distributor as described in Section 5.

3. On 1.4 and 1.6 liter models (except C16Z2), the seal fits against the O-ring on the rear of the distributor housing. Use a screwdriver to remove the old O-ring.

4. On C16NZ2, 1.8 and 2.0 liter models, use a screwdriver to remove the seal from the camshaft housing.

Installation

5. On 1.4 and 1.6 liter models (except C16NZ2), install a new O-ring, then install the distributor as described in Section 5.

Original posted on the website [www.opelbook.ru]

6. On C16NZ2, 1.8 and 2.0 litre models, install the new seal so it is flush with the housing, then install the distributor components as described in Section 5.
