Removal
Single overhead camshaft models
1. Remove the fuel tank (following Chapter 16), if necessary. Note that there is only one hose connected to the sensor. This must also be disconnected from the connection inside the unit, and only then can the sensor unit be completely removed from the tank (see illustration).

Models with two overhead camshafts
2. Remove the fuel tank as described in Chapter 16.
3. Make alignment marks on the sensor and the fuel tank so that the sensor can be installed in its original position.
4. To remove the sensor, you need to prepare a tool to install it in the slots in the sensor retaining ring. For this purpose, it is recommended to use a special tool Opel KM-673 (see illustration).

5. Carefully remove the block so as not to bend the float lever.
6. Remove the O-ring.
Installation
7. Perform installation in reverse order, paying attention to the following.
8. Replace the O-ring.
9. Align the marks made on the sensor and the fuel tank before removal.
10. Install the fuel tank (Chapter 16).
