Remove the oil intake mounts.

Remove the pipe.

Installation

Remove any remaining sealing gasket from the mating surface of the oil pan.

Tighten the oil intake mounting bolts: for 1.4 and 1.6 l engines - to 8 Nm, for 1.8 and 2.0 l engines - to 6 Nm.

Cover the mating surface with a layer of sealant, for example, Opel 503294 (9000181) (see arrows in Fig.A9248).

Put in a new gasket.

Cover the sealing surfaces on the roundings with sealant.

Install the oil pan and tighten its bolts: for 1.4 and 1.6 l engines - 8 Nm, for 1.7, 1.8 and 2.0 l engines - 5 Nm.

Caution! Do not tighten the bolts too much, otherwise you may squeeze out the gasket. Before tightening, lubricate the bolts with a sealant, for example, Opel 1503177.

Install the gearbox cover.

Tighten the front exhaust pipe mounting bolts to 25 Nm.

Connect the connector to the oil level sensor.

Pour in oil.

After a test drive, check for leaks in the connections and at the drain plug. Tighten the bolts if necessary.
