Measuring oil pressure (Opel Vectra A)

The oil pressure sensor is located on the oil pump.

Disconnect the electrical wires from the oil pressure sensor.

Unscrew the oil pressure sensor.



Screw the appropriate pressure gauge into the threaded hole of the sensor (see fig.).

Start the engine.

When idling, the warm engine oil pressure should not be below 1.5 bar. Otherwise, the lubrication system must be checked.

Unscrew the pressure gauge. Screw in the oil pressure sensor with a new copper gasket and tighten it. Connect the wires.
