Removal


Remove the rear brake disc.

Disengage the return spring and disconnect the parking brake cable from the lever.

Disconnect the cable from the equalizer.

Attention! To facilitate assembly, it is recommended to mark the position of the return springs and the installation mechanism.

Unhook and remove the upper and lower brake shoe return springs.

Remove the retaining pins. To do this, press on the spring plate with a screwdriver or collet, turn 90° and release the spring. At the same time, hold the pin from behind.

Remove the parking brake shoes, adjusting mechanism and lever. Wash all parts with alcohol and check for wear. Replace damaged and worn parts.

Installation



Lubricate all surfaces of the sliding support, as well as the adjusting screw, with a special paste (for example, Opel 1942585, Plastilube or Liqui Moly LM-36 or LM-508-ASC).

Completely assemble the installation mechanism.

Secure one brake shoe to the pin, holding the pin from behind with your hand.

Install the cable lever.

Insert the second brake shoe and secure it to the pin.

Install the upper return spring.

Install the setting mechanism in the correct position between the pads.

Install the lower return spring.

Install the lower return spring.


Attach the parking brake cable A and return spring B to the lever.



Install the brake disc.

Adjust the parking brake.
