Warning! Check the condition and tension of the belt after rotating the engine crankshaft one revolution in the direction of working rotation.
Check the condition of the accessory drive belts. Check the tension or sag of the alternator, power steering pump, air conditioning compressor and fan drive belts. To check the tension or deflection of the drive belts of the attachments, use the KM-128-A device.
Note: Due to the use of an automatic tensioning mechanism for the accessory drive belts on 3.2 V6 (6VD1-W) and 2.2 16v (Y22SE) engines, no tension adjustment is required.
Tensioning the accessory drive belts on the Y22DTH engine:
- new belts: 450 N
- used belts: 250-300 N
