Proper care and periodic maintenance at specified vehicle mileages (time intervals) will preserve its performance qualities and appearance for a long time. Some maintenance operations can be carried out by the vehicle owner himself, while others (periodic inspection and maintenance) must be carried out only by an authorized dealer.

Warnings:

• Before performing any inspection or maintenance operations in the engine compartment, make sure the engine is off and cool.
• If it is necessary to work in the engine compartment while the engine is running, use extreme caution to ensure that your clothing, hair, etc., do not become caught in the fan, drive belts, or other moving parts.
• Do not allow smoking, sparks or open flames near fuel or battery. Fuel and electrolyte vapors may ignite.
• Use extreme caution when working near the battery, as it uses poisonous and corrosive sulfuric acid as an electrolyte.
• It is not permitted to perform work under a vehicle raised only by a jack. Always use additional special sliding racks. Improper handling of parts and materials used in vehicles may result in injury.
