Opel/Vauxhall Service Schedule

For all vehicles, regardless of annual mileage:
  • routine maintenance: every 15,000 km/ 10,000 miles.
  • major service: Every 30,000 km/ 20,000 miles/ 1 year, whichever comes first.

For vehicles with annual mileage exceeding 30,000 km/20,000 miles per year:
  • routine maintenance: every 15,000 km/ 10,000 miles.
  • major service: every 30,000 km/ 20,000 miles.

Changes and features of car maintenance

The timing belt replacement interval on the Frontera-B with Y22SE engine has been changed to 60,000 km/40,000 miles or once every 4 years, whichever comes first.

On Frontera vehicles from 2002 onwards, the service interval has been extended to 30,000 km/20,000 miles or 1 year, whichever comes first, excluding oil filter and engine oil change for Y22SE petrol engines.

Heavy vehicle operating conditions

Oil and oil filter change intervals depend on how you use your vehicle. The following conditions may require more frequent oil and filter changes:
  • towing a trailer;
  • repeated short-distance trips in low air temperatures;
  • periodically repeated stops and movements of the vehicle;
  • prolonged engine idling;
  • operating a vehicle in sandy areas;
  • operating a vehicle in areas with high salt content;
  • operating a vehicle in dusty areas;
  • operation of the vehicle on rough terrain.

(Information taken from the website: «Opelbook.ru»)

Additional replacement of engine oil and oil filter is recommended for "normal vehicle operation" with frequent cold engine starts or when driving short distances or in the city.
