2. Open the retaining snap ring and remove the joint from the drive shaft keyways.
3. Remove the defective bellows from the drive shaft.
4. Clean off any old grease from the joint and re-grease generously with the specified grease. If the drive shaft joint is excessively worn or damaged, it must be replaced as a unit (see Section 4).
5. Place the new bellows onto the shaft so that the smaller diameter hole is located in the groove on the drive shaft.
6. Reinstall the joint so that the retaining snap ring is seated in its groove, then place the bellows over the joint and squeeze to remove as much air as possible.
7. Install new retaining rings. There are many suitable types available, but you will need special pliers to tighten the ones originally used.
