Drive shafts — specifications (Opel Ascona C)

Type: open tubular with homokinetic hinge at each end.

Drive shaft joint grease specification - GM 19 41 521 grease (Duckhams LBM 10).

Torque values (Nm / lbf ft)

Drive shaft - hub holder:

• Stage 1 - 100/74
• Loosen, then stage 2 - 20 / 15
• Stage 3 (*) - Tighten further to 90 degrees / Tighten further to 90 degrees.

Lower control arm bolts:

• Smaller bolts - 110/81
• Large center bolts - 130 / 96
• Wheel bolts - 90 / 66

* If necessary, loosen the nut to align the cotter pin hole.

Do not perform alignment while tightening.
