If during the inspection wear is found in one of the drive shaft joints, first remove the road wheel lining or wheel cover. If the drive wool nut is still in good condition, it should be tightened securely and a new cotter pin installed. Use a torque wrench if necessary.
Check the car on the road, listen for knocks in the front of the car as it slowly goes around in circles at maximum turn of the wheels. If a clicking noise is heard, this indicates wear on the outer CV joint. Therefore, it must be changed, the repair of this unit is not provided.
If the vibration of the entire vehicle is felt while driving on the road with increasing speed, the reason for this may be wear on the inner constant velocity joint.
