2. Note the position and purpose of the wires located at the rear of the generator and disconnect the plug or plug or contacts, depending on what is installed (see photo 8.2).

3. Unscrew and remove the generator control arm bolt and mark the position of the ground wire. Loosen the lower support bolt and rotate the generator towards the engine. Remove the belt from the generator pulley (see photo 8.3 A and B).

4. Remove the lower support bolt and then disconnect the generator from the engine. Be careful not to drop or knock the generator, as this could cause damage beyond repair (see photo 8.4).

5. Reinstallation is carried out by performing the above steps in reverse order. Adjust the tension of the alternator drive belt as described in Chapter 2.
