Electric power windows (Opel Ascona C)

1. This equipment is standard for most models.

2. The system operation is controlled by switches located on the central console.

3. If a malfunction occurs, first check the circuit fuse and then the circuit contacts for reliability.

4. Access to the motors located on the doors can be obtained after removing the inner decorative door panels as described in Chapter 11.

5. Disconnect the battery and then disconnect the electrical connectors from the motors.

6. Loosen the motor mounting screws or drill out the rivets and disconnect the operating lever from the glass guide as described for manual glass in Chapter 11. Remove the motor and lever assembly.

7. It is not recommended to disassemble the motor; in case of breakdown, purchase and install a new one.
