Relay — location, installation (Opel Ascona C)

1. The relays are located on the fuse box and simply snap into place.

2. Depending on the specifications for a particular vehicle, relays are installed to service the rear window defroster, turn signal/hazard warning flasher system, rear fog lamps and windshield wiper.

3. Some models are equipped with relays for auxiliary lights and front headlight horn, they are located at the bottom of the fuse box. To access them, you need to remove the lower panel from under the dashboard.

4. Some models also have relays located in the engine compartment. This type of relay can be disconnected after disconnecting the wires and unscrewing the mounting screw (see photo 20.4).
