1. Remove the caps from the battery cells and check the electrolyte level as described in Section 3. Complete the level if necessary. Note that topping up the electrolyte is not necessary in the case of a battery that does not require constant topping up, if it is used under normal conditions (see photo 2.1).

2. Check the condition of the alternator belt and adjust its tension if necessary, referring to the following for details: Chapter 2.
3. Check the headlights periodically to ensure they are functioning properly (front and back), windscreen wipers and washers, as well as an audible signal.
