Verification procedure
Open the hood.
Remove the air filter housing 1.
To do this, disconnect the 2 harness connectors, hot film mass air flow meter 3, tank vent valve 2.
Release the tank vent valve.
Dismantle the suction pipe 4.
To do this, unscrew 2 nuts.
Dismantle the crankcase ventilation hose 5.
On Z10XEP: remove the suction air hose, loosen the clamp and unscrew the bolt (arrow).
Remove the ignition module.
Remove the ignition module cover.
Note. NOTE
Note. Move it to the right.
Disconnect the wiring harness connector.
Loosen 2 mounting screws.
Remove the module using the special tool KM-6009.
Note. Do not twist the position of the cover.
Remove 3 spark plugs using tool KM-1 94-E.
Raise the vehicle.
Remove the V-ribbed belt cover.
To do this, unscrew the 3 mounting bolts 1.
Remove the clip (arrow).
Lower the car.
Set the ignition TDC position of cylinder 1.
Note. NOTE
Note. The crankshaft pulley marking must be in line with the boss on the timing case.
Place auxiliary marks on the belt pulley offset by 120°to the TDC mark of cylinder 1.
Unscrew the oil filler cap.
Note. The crankshaft pulley marking must be in line with the boss on the timing case.
Attention! Open the coolant expansion tank cap carefully and slowly. there is a risk of burns.
Remove the coolant reservoir cap
Pull out the oil dipstick.
Note. Pay attention to the sufficient length of the adapter. The adapter connection must be easily accessible. Do not damage the spark plug threads.
Install adapter and pressure drop gauge on cylinder 1.
Engage gear and apply parking brake
Note. All wheels must be in contact with the ground.
Check pressure drop across cylinder 1.
Note. Follow the manufacturer's instructions.
Check the pressure drop of the engine in the remaining cylinders.
Set the TDC position of cylinder 2.
Move adapter and pressure drop gauge to cylinder 2.
Check pressure drop across cylinder 2.
Set the TDC position of cylinder 3.
Move adapter and pressure drop gauge to cylinder 3.
Check pressure drop across cylinder 3.
Remove the pressure drop gauge.
Set the idle position.
Remove adapter from cylinder 3.
Install spark plugs.
Using special tool KM-194-E, tighten 3 pcs. with a moment of 25 Nm.
Install the ignition module.
Tighten 2 mounting bolts with a torque of 8 Nm.
Connect the wire harness connector.
Install the ignition module cover.
Insert oil dipstick.
Screw on the cap of the compensation tank of the coolant.
Screw on the oil filler cap.
Install the air filter housing. Tighten the bolt.
On Z10XEP engines: Install the air intake hose and tighten the clamp to 3.5 Nm.
Attach the suction pipe.
Replace O-ring.
Tighten 2 nuts to 8 Nm.
Install the crankcase ventilation hose. Connect tank vent valve, connect 2 harness connectors
Raise the vehicle.
Install the V-ribbed belt cover.
Tighten 3 mounting bolts.
Install the clamp.
Lower the car.
Close the hood.
