Removal and installation the steering knuckle (Opel Corsa C)

1. Remove the relevant wheel and loosen the hub nut (see Chapter 8).

2. Remove the brake shoe guide and the front wheel brake disc (see Chapter 9).

3. Remove the ABS sensor together with the holder from the steering knuckle.

4. Disconnect the ball joint of the transverse arm from the steering knuckle (see Section 5) and the steering rod end (see Section 14).

5. Remove the journal of the corresponding drive shaft from the hub assembly and tie the drive shaft with wire to the body elements on the bottom of the car (see Chapter 8).

6. Loosen the nuts and remove the lower shock absorber mounting bolts (see illustration 2.5) - follow all instructions given in Section 2.

7. Remove the steering knuckle from the shock absorber strut together with the hub assembly and brake shield (see illustration 5.1). If necessary, remove the hub assembly from the knuckle (see Section 5).

8. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Follow all instructions given in the relevant chapters and sections.
