In addition to the standard coolant temperature gauge sensor, temperature switches and sensors are installed to ensure the operation of the fuel injection system and ignition system.
On 2.0L diesel models, an additional thermostat was originally installed on the left side of the cylinder block at the outlet to the oil cooler. However, on later models this thermostat is not installed. Warning! When opening the expansion tank cap on a hot engine, care must be taken as escaping hot vapors can cause severe burns.
Avoid contact of coolant with clothing or paintwork. If this happens, rinse the surface with plenty of water.
After turning off a hot engine, the radiator fan may turn on.
