Arrangement of a nut of fastening of a vacuum hose to the vacuum pump on diesel engines of 2,0 l
The location of the vacuum pump on the generator in diesel engines 1.7 l
Removing
1. On 1.7L diesel engines, the vacuum pump is attached to the alternator, and on 2.0L diesel engines, the vacuum pump is bolted to the cylinder head.
2. On vehicles with 1.7L engines, raise the front of the vehicle and support it on stands.
3. Unscrew the vacuum hose from the vacuum pump.
4. On 1.7L engines, unscrew the union nut and remove the oil supply pipe to the pump.
5. Loosen the clamp and remove the oil return pipe from the vacuum pump.
6. Unscrew bolts and remove the vacuum pump.
7. Remove the O-ring (arrow) from the alternator on 1.7L engines or from a groove in the pump on 2.0L engines.
Installation
Installation is made in sequence, return to removal. Before installing a vacuum pump on a 1.7 liter engine, pour 5 cm into the pump through the oil supply fitting3 oils.
Examination
The performance of the vacuum pump of the brake system can be checked using a vacuum gauge.
1. Disconnect the vacuum pipe from the pump and connect a vacuum gauge instead.
2. Run the engine to idle. Measure the vacuum created by the pump. After 1 minute of engine operation, the vacuum should be about 500 mm Hg. If the vacuum created by the pump does not meet the required data, replace the pump completely, because. Spare parts for the pump are not supplied.
