Handbrake lever — removal and installation (Opel Vectra B)

Removal

1. Place the vehicle over the inspection pit.

2. Remove the exhaust system.

3. Unscrew the heat shield to access the handbrake lever compensator. Lower the handbrake lever, push the compensator forward and disconnect the front handbrake cable.

4. Inside the vehicle, remove the center console and handbrake lever cover.

5. Unscrew the adjusting nut from the front of the front handbrake cable and remove the cable from the handbrake lever.

6. Unscrew the handbrake lever mounting nuts (arrows), disconnect the electrical connector and remove the lever from the vehicle interior.

Installation

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. In this case, it is necessary to adjust the handbrake.
