Removing
1. Depress the brake pedal several times to fill the brake booster with air or relieve pressure in the servomotor hydraulic unit.
2. Remove the brake reservoir cap and use a syringe to draw out the brake fluid.
3. Remove the relay box from the hydraulic regulator on the left front side of the engine compartment.
4. On models with a manual transmission, loosen the clamp and remove the clutch supply pipe (arrow) from the tank.
5. Pull up and remove the reservoir from the brake master cylinder.
6. Mark the brake pipes suitable for the main brake cylinder.
7. Position a clean rag under the brake master cylinder. Unscrew nuts of fastening of brake tubes and take brake tubes aside from the main brake cylinder. Close the ends of the tubes with appropriate plugs.
8. Unscrew nuts of fastening and remove the main brake cylinder from the vacuum amplifier of brakes together with a lining.
Installation
Installation is made in sequence, return to removal. At the same time, install a new gasket. Bleed the air from the hydraulic system. The brake pipe mounting nuts must be tightened to the required torque. If overtightened, the flange at the end of the tube may be damaged.
