Driving mode selection lever — removal and installation (Opel Vectra A)

Removal

1. Disconnect the rear end of the gear shift cable as described in steps 1, 2, 5 and 6 Chapters 7. Then disconnect the wiring from the sub-mode switches and unfasten the backlight lamp socket from the panel.

2. Unscrew the nut securing the lever to the pivot axis (see illustration), and remove the lever by pushing it sideways.

Installation

3. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Finally, adjust the length of the cable (see above).
