Removal



1. Drain the cooling system (Chapter 2).

2. While working in the engine compartment, disconnect the coolant hoses from the heater pipes in the bulkhead.

3. While working in the passenger compartment, remove the front part of the central console (Section 11).

4. Remove the two front and two rear mounting screws and remove the plastic heater cover (see illustration).

5. Remove the two front screws from the heater mounting straps, then lower the straps and remove the heater from the panel (see illustration). The rear heater pipes must be removed from the bulkhead. The sealing rings in the heater housing may be displaced. Where used, remove the sealing rings.

6. Installation is carried out in reverse order, paying attention to the following.

8. Make sure the rubber strips are correctly positioned between the mounting straps and the heater.
