Heater Blower Motor — Removal and Installation (Opel Vectra A)

Removal

1. The heater blower motor is located under the windshield fairing.

2. Remove the windshield fairing as described in Section 11.

3. Remove the windshield wiper motor and linkage as described in Section 12.

4. Unfasten the trim from the top of the motor (see illustration).

5. Disconnect the motor wiring connector.

6. Remove the two motor clamp screws, then lift the clamp and remove the motor assembly from the housing (see illustration).



7. If necessary, replace the motor resistor by squeezing the retaining clips to release the resistor bracket. Install the new resistor, making sure to properly secure it with the retaining clips (see illustration).





8. Motor repair is not possible, if the motor is faulty, replace it.

Installation

9. Installation is done in reverse order. Make sure the rubber cushion is correctly placed between the clamp and the motor.
