Windscreen wiper motor and linkage — removal and installation (Opel Vectra A)

Removal

1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.

2. Remove the windshield wiper arms as described in Chapter 36.

3. Remove the windshield fairing as described in Section 11.

4. Disconnect the wire contact from the engine (see illustration).

5. Remove the three bolts securing the motor/rod assembly to the housing, then remove the assembly (see illustrations).





6. If necessary, the rod can be removed from the engine by unscrewing the three mounting bolts. Do not attempt to disassemble the rods.

Installation

7. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
