Removal


Disconnect the ground wire from the battery.

Remove the air filter.

Mark with adhesive tape and disconnect vacuum tubes 2 and 3 (see fig.C4861).

Disconnect connector 1 (Fig. C4862) from the throttle potentiometer, connector 2 from the air damper control and connector 3 from the starting device.

Disconnect fuel line 1 (Fig. C4863) and close it with a suitable plug.

Disconnect connector 2 of the carburetor heater.

Disconnect ground wire 3.

Disconnect vacuum pipe 4 from the exhaust gas discharge valve.

Disconnect vacuum pipe 4 from the exhaust gas discharge valve.


Remove the accelerator cable from the rubber bushing in the direction of the arrow (fig. on the right).

Remove the cable from the disk (fig. on the left).

Loosen the carburetor mounting bolts (see arrows in Fig.C4865) and remove the carburetor from the flange.

Cover the intake manifold with a clean rag to prevent dirt from getting inside. Do not disconnect the flange.

Installation



Remove the rags. Install the carburetor on the flange and tighten its bolts to 7 Nm.

Install the fuel hose and secure it with a clamp.



Reconnect disconnected electrical wires and connectors.

Connect the accelerator cable to the lever. Insert the rubber bushing and the cable casing into it.

Install the vacuum hoses in their places according to the marks.

Connect the heating connector.

Connect the ground wire to the carburetor.

Connect the vacuum hose to the exhaust gas recirculation valve.

Install the air filter.

Connect the ground wire to the battery.

Check engine idling and CO content in exhaust gases; adjust if necessary.
