When replacing fuses, make sure that the replacement fuse matches the old type. Fuses designed for different amperages may look identical in appearance, so special attention should be paid to the marking. Replacing a blown fuse with one designed for less - and especially more - amperage is undesirable. Each electrical circuit needs a different degree of protection. Make sure that the marking on the fuse body corresponds to the current strength for which the corresponding circuit is designed.
If the replaced fuse blows immediately, it is not wise to continue replacing it. First you need to identify and eliminate the cause of his knocking out. In most cases, this turns out to be a short circuit in the wiring of the circuit, caused by a break or damage to the wire insulation.
The fuse breaks the electrical circuit when the current reaches the set value. Thus, the current consumer and its circuit are protected from damage. In the event of a short circuit, for example, the fuse melts, protecting the circuit.
Relay location
The same for all versions, regardless of the year of manufacture. The functional purpose of the fuses is different.
The main fuses and relays are in a box like the one shown in the illustration. Here you should also distinguish between blocks depending on engine models and years of manufacture.
Location of fuses in the block
The same for all versions, regardless of the year of manufacture. The functional purpose of the fuses is different.
The illustration shows the fuses car until the end of 1995 release. The strength of the rated current of the fuses is given. Fuses protect the following circuits:
- 1 - F10E, rated current 10 A, left headlight, beam range control, high beam warning lamp
- 2 - F9E, rated current 15 A, right headlight, low beam
- 3 - F8E, rated current 15 A, fog light
- 4 - F7E, rated current 20 A, fan
