Removal and installation the HVAC fan drive motor (Opel Corsa C)

Corsa C models



1. Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal (see Chapter 5).

2. Remove the main storage compartment (see Chapter 11).

3. Remove the lower instrument panel trim from the front passenger footwell side (see Chapter 11).

4. Unlock and remove the air supply hose to the passenger footwell.

5. Remove the side decorative panel of the console section of the instrument panel (see Chapter 11).

6. Disconnect the electrical wiring connector and remove the 5 bolts securing the fan motor assembly (see accompanying illustration).

7. Press the clamps (see accompanying illustration) and remove the HVAC fan drive motor.

8. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.

Meriva Models



9. Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal (see Chapter 5).

10. Remove the main storage compartment (see Chapter 11).

11. Remove the decorative instrument panel trim panel from the front passenger footwell side (see Chapter 11).

12. Unlock and remove the air supply hose to the passenger footwell.

13. Unlock and disconnect the fan drive motor wiring connectors (see accompanying illustration).

14. Unscrew the mounting bolt, press back the 6 holders (see illustration 12.13) and remove the electric motor downwards.

15. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. In this case, replace the 2 holders on the engine compartment bulkhead with screws.
