Electric motor



Removal



1. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.

2. Remove the coolant reservoir mounting bracket and take out the reservoir.

3. Remove the wiper arms as described above.

4. Remove the grille from the air outlet duct to gain access to the wiper linkage rods.

5. Disconnect the plug connection of the electric motor.

6. Remove the four bolts and remove the engine from the mounting frame.

7. Carefully insert a screwdriver under the crank and remove the ball joint pin

Installation



1. When installing, connect the crank arm to the ball joint.

2. Insert the crank through the air hole and secure the motor with four screws.

3. Tighten the screws evenly to a torque of 9 Nm.

4. Before installing the wiper arms, briefly switch the wiper drive on and off.

5. After this, set the levers so that the dimension between the lower edges of the brushes and the lower edge of the windshield is 20 mm.

Windscreen wiper rods



1. After removing the windshield wiper motor, unscrew the five screws securing the air duct cover and disconnect the ball joints of the windshield wiper arms. The hinges are secured with two nuts.

2. Remove the five screws securing the windshield wiper rods and remove the rods and hinge through the air hole.

3. The rods can be disassembled. To do this, remove the ball joint rods. When assembling, make sure that the ball joints are locked in place.

4. If the crank was removed from the electric motor, it is necessary to check its correct position during installation. The axle mounting nut is tightened to a torque of 15 Nm.

5. The rods are installed in the reverse order of removal. Tighten the tie rod nuts to a torque of 9 Nm.
